Hong Kong Wetland Park

Ok..I am back in Singapore and has been catching on the local food for the past 3 days..Kway Chap, Roti Prata, Cai Fan (yes..cai fan!), Bak Chor Mee, Zi Ca...and the Teh Peng is ten thousands miles away from Dong Lai Cha...but arghhh...i got to stop thinking about food!

Anyway, it is time to recall and retro-blog again since I have been really nua after the exams. And as a tourist, you do not really feel like blogging..haha

So, the day after the fireworks, the weather was once again exceptionally good and I decided to check out Hong Kong Wetland Park. When I spent more than 1.5 hours getting there (transitting on KCR East Rail to MTR to KCR West Rail to KCR Light Rail), I was thinking it should really be a big deal, like the epitome of HK's eco-tourism or something. Well, all I can say is that it seems like a big park built as a green belt to a new town (Tin Shui Wai) and it sort of resembles Seng Kang, and even though I have not been to Sungei Buloh, I think the latter is much better. I did see some migratory birds (I think...) but it was largely human-crafted grasslands and marshlands..so yeh I was disappointed and the sweltering heat did not help, but then again it may be due to the lack of company as well..haha
